I recently dined at Malay Satay Hut and had an excellent experience. The restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious food options that cater to all tastes. It's a fantastic place for family dining, with a welcoming atmosphere that makes it ideal for spending quality time with loved ones. The service was prompt and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. I highly recommend Malay Satay Hut for anyone looking for great food and a family-friendly environment.
I don't know where the negative reviews came from, but I had very pleasant experiences for my couple of visits. Brought my mom in today, both of us loved the food we ordered. The ingredients were fresh, the soup was rich, and the portion was more than enough for us. The flavors were very close to Cantonese and Guangdong taste. Would definitely recommend.
Came with my dear friend and they have an amazing Malaysian food. The chef Veronica is the most nicest chef I met. I just wish their wait staffs could do a better service.
My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Malay Satay Hut in Bellevue. Upon arrival, we requested the Halal menu, which was thoughtfully provided as a separate offering from the standard menu—a much-appreciated consideration for guests with specific dietary needs. For our meal, we ordered the Nasi Goreng—a fragrant and flavorful fried rice dish prepared with prawns and Halal chicken. It was exceptionally well-balanced and thoroughly enjoyable, easily the highlight of our meal. We also tried the Malay Satay. While the satay was prepared well, we found that the flavor profile and accompanying sauce didn’t quite align with our personal taste preferences, so we’ll refrain from offering a rating on that dish. The portion sizes were generous, providing more than enough for the two of us. We were pleasantly satisfied and even had enough to take home, which speaks to the value offered. Overall, our experience at Malay Satay Hut was positive, and we would not hesitate to recommend it to others seeking authentic Malaysian cuisine with Halal options available.
This is my all time favorite restaurant, it makes my mouth water just thinking about this place, if you don’t like it, you’re getting the wrong thing. Their fried rice is to die for, and the dry curry beef just completely melts in your mouth, not to mention the skewers, everyone is always nice and sometimes if it’s busy we have to wait, but I don’t care because I’m glad they are busy and I’m just excited to be there. Do a favor and treat yourself to this place.
Got laksa, lobak and nasi lemak with randang. Laksa is fine, lobak is a unique yuba wrapped pork roll deep fried fantastic. But the nasi lemak really fell short specific with the rice. The rice taste like plain white rice instead of coconut rice. Rendang is great, nice and tender and spiced well. Réunion has a better laksa and a much better nasi lemak but this place has a much more extensive menu. Mandarin speaking wait staff.
Tasty Malaysian place nestled away in Lake Hills. The Laksa is the best I’ve had in the greater Seattle area - creamy and savoury, filled with shrimpy umami and the herbaceous flavour of lemongrass. The Char Kwey Teow had lots of wok hei flavour, with a nice generous portion, but could perhaps do with more toppings. Everything is very well priced for the area. Strong 8.5/10, excited to come back and try their chilli crab!
